Nominations can be made by anyone within the Australian Athletics community including Athletics Australia’s Member Associations, Little Athletics Member Associations and Branches of ATFCA or individuals and should be in writing and be accompanied by a statement of qualification of the nominee.
This award distinguishes coaches who contribute to the development of the sport in all areas from grassroots to elite. The award recognises a coach’s leadership and networking at a participation level – it does not only recognise a coach who has reached the pinnacle of their career in coaching. Outstanding coaching and coach educators are innovators and catalysts for the development of future coaches in all areas.
